Some might tell you that the best time to see leopards in the Sabi Sands in in winter, when it's dry and the animals are concentrated around water sources. But we disagree. The best time to view leopards in the Sands is undoubtedly during the spring impala calving season in September. Why? There’s less competition from other bigger predators like lion and wild dogs, and the leopards are more inclined to hunt at this time. There’s a good chance you will see a kill when the antelope are dropping their young, and you might even see one of the cats drag their kill up a tree.
